Sunday School, is a place where the spiritual nurture of the youngest members begins, and where moral values and standards are inculcated to contribute towards children’s growth in Jesus.

Since its early days, the C.S.I. Parish in Bahrain has been firmly committed to promote Christian education through the Sunday School. Our Sunday school serves as the foundation for the conception of a strong and living church.

Our Sunday school is committed to providing the resources, support and training necessary for connecting children of our congregation:
-With Christ
-With God’s word
-With other People
-And with Mission.

Our Sunday School commenced activities in 1984 under the guidance of Rev. C.K. John, but could not continue due to various constraints.

Late Rev. K.C. George (vicar during the period 1987 – 1990) had been instrumental in reviving the Sunday School in 1987.

Achen’s inspiration and never failing encouragement nurtured the reinstating of this Ministry with Mr. Mathew Varghese as the first Headmaster, followed by Mr. George P.George and Eapen Koshy.

The energetic and enthusiastic support of our Parish brought about the formal enrolment of about 100 students to the Sunday school during the late 90’s. Our Parish is blessed with and influenced by the committed teachers who worked as intuitive shepherds to our children since its inception.

On Friday mornings, the Sunday School buzzes with activity. The children learn Bible verses, hymns and choruses and stories from the Bible. Caring teachers work with each age group to guide them towards God’s saving love for them as told in the stories of the old and New Testament.

In this ministry, we strive to direct all our motives and actions towards guiding our children to God as we respond to God’s gracious invitation to discipleship, growth in grace, and service in love.

Currently we have  Mr. Jacob John ( Head master),Mrs. Ann Solly(Secretary), Mr. John Ebenezer(Treasurer),Mrs. Subha Sajan ,Mr.Shibu Issac Sunny ( Choir master).

Mrs. Salma Jacob, Mrs. Soumi Shibu, Mrs. Jeeva Mary Jacob, Mrs. Anu Santhosh, Mrs.Anitha Thomas, and Mrs.Sameera Anoop as our Sunday school teachers with a strength of  86 students.
